Mark Borden helps House both write and tell its story. He was creative-at-large at The New York Times, editorial director for Droga5, and a senior editor at Fast Company. Every summer he builds a harbor tank with local Cape Cod marine species in an effort to learn from and control nature. He's good at finding the edge of comfort zones.
Kevin Laurino is a Southern California native. He attended Chico State University to study Graphic Design. Over the past 15 years, Kevin has worked as a Screen Printer, Production Artist, Creative Director and Print Production Manager within a number of entertainment ad agencies. In 2016, he joined the team at Netflix as their first Print Producer. Currently, in his fourth year at Netflix, he leads the Art Finishing and Retouching team.
Kevin lives in Santa Clarita, California with his wife and four children, ages 1, 3, 4 and 6.
Kristine is known for building brands that carefully balance timelessness with distinct visual expression. She has designed identities for global brands such as PayPal, Nivea, Western Digital, and SodaStream. Her work has earned awards from Red Dot, IDA, iF Design, IDSA, SPARK!, GDUSA, IDEA and The Dieline. Most recently, Lobster Phone was recommended as one of the best design studios for start-ups by TechCrunch.
Prior to founding Lobster Phone, Arth was director of brand at the design studio fuseproject, where she built the brand practice from the ground up and led a team of international, multidisciplinary designers.
Lynne is a NYC-based type designer and educator who leads the type studio Space Type Continuum. The studio operates at the intersection of type, design, and technology. Prior to that, she was previously a full time type designer at Monotype and served on the board of AIGA NY and Society of Scribes. Prior to working at Monotype, Lynne held positions as a graphic designer at companies such as Apple Inc. She holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and a postgraduate certificate in typeface design from the [email protected] Extended Program.
Jenn Hilliard is a Senior Manager with over 10 years experience developing and repositioning brands with measurable results across the financial, crisis communications, real estate, startup, and creative services industries.
She stewards the evolution of the brands within the Rocket Companies portfolio living between Marketing and Product Strategy to develop and execute the brand strategy, visual identity, voice and tone, sonic identity and product manifestation of the Rocket brand experience.
She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Washington.
Charles Nix is a Creative Type Director, designer, typographer and educator. He designed a number of popular typefaces in the Monotype Library, including Walbaum and Hope Sans, which received a Certificate of Typographic Excellence in the 22nd Annual Type Directors Club Typeface Design Competition. He’s also designed custom typefaces for Google Noto, Progressive Insurance and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Prior to his position at Monotype, Charles co-owned a small publishing firm, where he designed hundreds of books, while also orchestrating all aspects of book production, from writing proposals to supervising printing. His experience in marketing, publicity and advertising gives him a unique perspective into the importance of type in branding.
Alice Palmer is the Vice President of Marketing at Monotype, where she’s focused on empowering the world’s top brands to be authentic, powerful, and consistent. With more than 15 years of marketing experience at publicly traded, global organizations, Alice is a customer-focused marketer who has managed top B2B brands and led global functions, including strategy, product/industry marketing, demand generation, customer marketing, public relations, and content.
Alice is a graduate of Duke University and has an MBA from the F.W. Olin School at Babson College, where she was valedictorian. She is a passionate advocate for working parents and enjoys food, wine, and travel. Alice lives just outside of Boston with her husband and four children.
